STEP 1: BEFORE SURGERY

Preparation for Rhinoplasty surgery may include:

Arrange for someone to drive you to surgery and for them to stay with you for at least the first few nights.
Take specific medications or adjust your current medications.
Complete lab tests within 30 days of your procedure.
Stop smoking, drinking, or taking drugs.
Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory, or herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding.
Follow your surgeon’s recommendations before surgery for a successful and speedy recovery.

STEP 2: SURGERY DATE

Arrive on time for your surgery appointment.
Come with a companion of 18 years or older.
Avoid eating or drinking after midnight before your surgery.
Wash your body with antibacterial soap before surgery.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that’s easy to put on and take off on the day of your surgery.

STEP 3: AFTER SURGERY

Recovering from a nose job surgery is different for each patient.

A splint and/or packing may be placed inside your nose, and a bandage on the outside supports and protects the new structure during healing.
One of the benefits of Rhinoplasty is that the swelling generally subsides within a few weeks. However, it can take up to a year for your nose to fully heal and start looking new again.
It’s normal to experience some swelling and black-and-blue discoloration in the eyelids for about two to four weeks after nasal surgery.
Keep your incisions clean.
Don’t do any heavy lifting for the next two months after your surgery.
Use a good scar treatment.
Do not smoke.

Zion clinic is wonderful. The staff are super friendly, helpful, funny and real. They walk you through the whole process and hold your hand the entire time, felt like i knew everyone for a while. Karla S. assisted me with coordinating my procedure, I came in for breast augmentation, she was very informative and patient with me from beginning to end.
